Today, an unsolicited phone call from a lady with an Asian accent. She introduced herself as Alice and said she wanted to tell us how to avoid unsolicited phone calls.
This could be the start of an infinite regress. Next it will be advice on how to avoid unsolicited messages from cold callers advising you on how to avoid unsolicited phone calls. I get phone messages almost every day about clearing my debts, claiming back money from insurance scams etc. i'm sick of them and BT seems to take no action. They often say 'dial 5 if you don't want us to contact you again. Apparently that gets you into a prolonged phone call which might cost you. As these messages are recorded there is no one to swear at.
