In January the editor of a long-established magazine went to Buckingham Palace to receive an MBE for services to poetry. This prompted me to wonder what might happen if that editor were, in the future, to publish some bad poetry. Would she, in Goodwinesque manner, be 'stripped' of her award?
That thought then prompted me to wonder if there is such a thing as 'bad poetry'. If the stuff is bad, then surely it doesn't deserve to be called poetry; it is just poor writing.
Is there any actual bad poetry out there?
