Issue 6 of the Scottish literary magazine has recently appeared. Two of my poems are included. Here's one (a triolet):
Tinderbox
Just in case his hotel caught fire
Hans Christian Andersen carried a rope,
his means of escape from the nightmare pyre
if, sometime soon, his hotel caught fire.
Each day he expected something dire
(though snow queens and mermaids helped him cope).
So, just in case his hotel caught fire
Hans Christian Andersen carried a rope.
(Andersen's tales used to terrify me!)
