Edinburgh's Stockbridge area has been relentlessly upwardly mobile since the slum clearance of the 1950s and 1960s. Back then there was no chance of encountering the following little exchange I overheard yesterday in Henri's café and delicatessen:
Woman: Have you anything gluten-free?
Waiter: Only the macaroons.
Woman: Are they made on the premises?
Waiter: No. In Paris.

It's easy to join in the sentiment with you. Too easy! Since as we get older we are able to enjoy somewhat related past memories/experiences. For example, I do enjoy Gravadlax from Loch Fyne and peat smoked trout from North Just. Should I feel guilty? Keith Dyson.
