Auchindrain

It was in the early 1990s that Mik and I visited the abandoned settlement of Auchindrain (near Inveraray). The place inspired a poem, which initially appeared in CHAPMAN magazine.
It can now be read on StAnza's Poetry Map of Scotland (23rd January entry).

Auchindrain sounds a bit like somewhere The Broons  might go on holiday, but actually means the field of the thorn trees.
